Nighttime at the Garden is about to get surreal.

Summer evenings at the Missouri Botanical Garden are always magical. This summer, they’ll be out-of-this world extraordinary! 

 The Flora Borealis exhibit will take you on a journey through a special nighttime multimedia experience. Starting in late  June, the Garden at night will transform into an interactive path of light, including cinematic projections and custom soundscapes for an experience like no other.

The magic begins after dark

Beginning at dusk each night, Flora Borealis visitors will embark on a 1-mile journey through iconic Garden locations transformed through a combination of lights, moving images, and sounds that bring the Garden to life like never before.

Enjoy drinks and snacks for purchase and family-friendly activities in our beer garden. There will be live entertainment on select nights. View schedule

Before your experience

Doors Open at 7 p.m. for all ticket holders to stroll Garden grounds until sunset, explore our Biergarten, and enjoy family-friendly activities before your Flora Borealis experience begins.

Family Fun

Mondays in August | 7–9 p.m.

In addition to backyard games and coloring activities nightly at the Biergarten, kids can join the fun with glow-in-the-dark face painting. Plus, don't miss Star Gazing with the Astronomical Society (select nights).

Request Advance Tickets

Six complimentary adult or child (ages 3–12) tickets.

Complimentary tickets may be used on a single visit or on multiple visits for either adult or child (ages 3-12) tickets. Children ages 2 and under do not require a ticket.

Flora Borealis tickets are timed and dated. 

A limited number of complimentary tickets are available each night, so we recommend you order your tickets at least one week in advance for best availability.

Date exchange fees on previously reserved tickets will apply.

A $10 per order fee will apply to change the date of your tickets once they have been processed.

Garden members at the $195 Festival level qualify to receive six complimentary adult or child (ages 3–12) tickets to Flora Borealis, this summer’s nighttime multimedia experience on view June 28–August 26.

There is no charge for parking at the Missouri Botanical Garden. In the event that the parking lot is full, visitors should use the free parking at the Metro multi-modal lots at the corner of Shaw Boulevard and Vandeventer.
