Garden Party Lights

Party all summer long as the Garden becomes your after-hours destination for drinks, lights, music, and dynamic multimedia. Enjoy drink specials every Thursday evening and live music in our covered Biergarten every Friday and Saturday evening.

More than 120 food producers and crafters offer baked goods, fresh and dried flowers, herbs, handcrafted items, baskets, wooden toys, custom jewelry and more. Enjoy live music and a kids' corner with crafts and fall activities, too! Outdoors under tents, rain or shine.

Spirits in the Garden

Celebrate All Hallows' Eve with the spirit of Henry Shaw while sampling tastings from local distilleries, wineries and breweries! Strut your stuff in a costume contest, solve a scavenger hunt, dance the night away to spooky tunes, watch classic horror movies, meet local paranormal investigators, learn about the spirited history of the Garden and enjoy a fortune teller, fire performer and stilt-walking Frankenstein’s monster. Admission includes all activities and tastings. Food available for purchase.

Wicked Wings and Wine

Spiders and beetles and butterflies, oh my! Join us for happy hour at the Butterfly House to celebrate the spirit of Halloween. As twilight approaches, sample local brews and wines while you learn about our owl butterflies, which are most active at dusk. Plus, encounter other spook-tacular live animals featured during the event. Take a stroll through the torch lit garden and enjoy festive music. Dare to try our chocolate ants or barbecued mealworms! Don't worry...other light appetizers will also be provided. These nights are for adults 21 and up and require advance reservations.
